Stephanie is a vibrant woman in her 30's who lost her father in an attack when he was deployed oversees. Her father's best friend and fellow soldier, Jay, has been her godfather since birth and has become her primary source of advice and comfort. On the anniversary of her father's death, which happens to be Jay's birthday, Steph travels to NYC to visit. Stephanie coaxes Jay into an afternoon of exercising and during a break, she seeks out Jay's advice on her dating life. She ends up getting a deep look into Jay's feelings and life that she didn't expect.
